Ayodhya Mosque l Proposed Design of New Mosque in Ayodhya

Ayodhya Mosque and Hospital

The Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) Trust on Saturday made an impression of the artist of the proposed mosque in Dhannipur in Sohaval Tehsil of Ayodhya. Ayodhya's proposed mosque in Dhannipur will be a modern structure and will be energy efficient.

In addition to a mosque, more than 2,000 worshipers, a 300-bed hospital, a community kitchen (public restaurant), and a modern library can also be established in the complex.

The mosque will be four times the size of the Babri Masjid and a 300-bed hospital six times the size of the mosque.

For the design of the mosque, it would have a "cosmic" or futuristic design resembling spherical earth padded in space. It will not have orthodox domes, minarets, or arches associated with Islamic architecture in India.

The mosque will be built on 3,500 square meters of land, while the hospital and other facilities will occupy an area of 24,150 square meters.

Key Points of New Mosque Complex in Ayodhya :

  • The design of the mosque has been prepared with modern technology and will be shaped like an egg without a dome, said Professor SM Akhtar from Jamia Millia Islamia's Department of Architecture.
  • The two-story mosque will not have a minaret.
  • About 2,000 people will be able to offer 'Namaz' at the same time.
  • Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) secretary Athar Hussain said that he suggested that the mosque be called Dhannipur Mosque.
  • The mosque will be self-efficient for energy as it is based on solar energy and natural temperature maintenance.
  • The mosque will be ecological and plants will be planted from all over the world. Plants will be planted from around the world, including the Amazon rainforest, wildlife locations in Australia, and other geographic locations in India.
  • The hospital will be a separate building, consisting of a ground floor and four floors. It will provide state-of-the-art facilities with a focus on the needs of children suffering from malnutrition and pregnant women.
  • The structure of the building will also be the trust office and publishing house which focuses on research and publishing house of Indo-Islamic cultural literature studies.
